Norm & Ruth Dobbins have been working with internationally renowned fine artist Judy Chicago for the past 3 1/2 years to bring Judy's new work in glass to life. I been workin' on the railroad . . .
During the last year of the Judy Chicago project, Dobbins Studios has also had another major project to handle. This ongoing project involves producing over 50 large glass windscreen panels for the new light rail system in central New Mexico. The panels are 5 feet by 7 feet each, 1/2" tempered glass, with 9 mounting holes drilled through the glass, and they weigh almost 300 pounds each.Thirty six of these panels have been completed and are in the process of being installed at the various rail stops as they are finished.
